Evaluation of 10-34-0 Fertilizer Applied in-Furrow in Louisiana Cotton Production

Two studies were conducted to evaluate the use of 10-34-0 "pop-up" fertilizer applied in-furrow in Louisiana cotton production. Study one evaluated five in-furrow pop-up fertilizer rates: 1.5, 2.0, 2.5, 3.0 gallons per acre, and a non-treated. Study two compared pop-up fertilizer placement. Pop-up fertilizer was applied either in-furrow at 1.5 or 2.0 gallons per acre or was applied 2 inches to the side and two inches below the seed (2X2 placement) at 5 and 7 gallons per acre.
