Evaluation of John Deere Module Weighing System for on Farm Research Trials

Data from on farm research cotton trials is a critical piece of Extension programming.  The challenges during harvest time often make producers impatient or not willing to assist in on farm trials.  In order to collect good quality data and not slow down the harvest process for the grower, several cotton pickers equipped with the John Deere Module Weighing System was evaluated during the 2018 and 2019 harvest seasons.  Cotton module weights were taken from the cotton picker and compared to a calibrated platform scale during several on farm cotton variety and other on farm fungicide trials.
