Transcriptomic Analysis of the Larval Head of Egyptian Cotton Leaf Worm

A transciptome was constructed by Illumina sequencing from the head of the Egyptian cotton leaf worm, Spodoptera littoralis.  This represents the first genomic information from any cotton pest from Egypt.  The overall analysis of the transcriptome and the development of RNAi targets from the transcriptome will be discussed.
