Boll damage from leaf-footed bug (Hemiptera: Coreidae) often appears in late planted cotton and injury to cotton bolls are seen.  Does this activity contribute to economic damage, and is the activity concentrated in late-planted cotton that is water-stressed or well-watered? We compared leaf-footed bug activity, boll injury, and cotton yield in late and very late planted cotton grown under three different water regimes (dryland, 75% irrigation, and full irrigation).
