The Power Roll Gin Stand was originally developed to regin cottonseed as part of the EasiFlo™ cottonseed process.  EasiFlo cottonseed processors have reported yields of about 30 pounds of “Tag Fiber” per ton of cottonseed processed.  Efforts to commercialize this technology, for use in the primary gin stand, have faltered.  A demonstration project, to evaluate this technology for reginning cottonseed, has been established at a “mini-mill” cottonseed processing facility in Texas.  Data from that project will be discussed.
