The Multibar Sawless Lint Cleaner (MBSLC) is a prototype spiked-tooth lint cleaner designed to replace the first stage lint cleaning in a cotton gin. Last year was the first evaluation of the MBSLC versus a conventional lint cleaner in a commercial cotton gin.  This study reports on the second year evaluation in another commercial cotton gin in West Texas during the 2011-12 ginning season.  Results include comparisons with a conventional 66" saw-type lint cleaner for fiber quality and lint waste.
