Banks of IR sensors are used to detect increase of temperature, access heat at selected locations in the gin conveyors where sparks or high heat are suspect of cause of fires. The sensors are positioned to aim at small areas of interest thus increasing the sensitivity to sudden rise in temperature. Adaptive logic differentiate between normal changes of temperature and a fire start conditions. Alarms and actuators help the operator minimize the spread fo the fire and reduce the loss of raw material.
