Abstract
The Stover Round Module Trailer is another piece of equipment that can enhance the round module system. It transports six round modules at a time, which is equilivant to 50% more payload.
Modules should be staged in the field, 6 in a row.
The truck driver enters the field with the trailer. He backs up to the row of modules, slides the axles forward, dumps the bed, opens the squeeze arms and then engages the tracks that allow the trailer to begin crawling under the round modules.
The trailer is independent in that a loader is not needed in the field. Once the modules are loaded on the trailer, the side arms squeeze the modules so that indiviual strapping is not needed.
The bed is then lowered, axles are moved into transport position and the driver leaves the field.
The reverse situation is completed when modules are unloaded on the gin yard.
