The 915 Hooded Sprayer is just one of the latest tools in the fight against pigweeds and will be available before the 2011 planting season. The first hooded sprayers allowed farmers to control emerged weeds by spraying Roundup® herbicide in their cotton crop. Prior to the introduction of Roundup Ready® cotton hooded sprayers were used as a key component in farmer’s cotton weed control.  The spread of resistant pigweed and the difficulty of controlling them lead to a renewed interest in the hooded sprayer. With the help of cotton farmers the hooded sprayer has been redesigned to specifically deal with resistant pigweed. This presentation will allow farmers and others in attendance the opportunity to see how the hooded sprayer has been redesigned to aid in the battle against resistant pigweed.
