Reniform nematode (Rotylenchulus reniformis) and southern root-knot nematode (Meloidogyne incognita) are major plant-parasitic nematodes that cause yield damages on cotton in the Southeast. In this project, both traditional nematode assessment and sUAS (small unmanned aerial systems) remote sensing were used to evaluate nematicide application efficacy in cotton production in three locations in Florida. This presentation will summarize the capacity for assessing nematode damage through sUAS remote sensing combined with ground truthing.
