Meloidogyne enterolobii, the pacara earpod nematode, is an emerging problem in the southeast U.S. that can significantly impact cotton. Because the nematode overcomes all known host resistance genes available in cotton, development of management strategies is crucial to limiting losses for growers that are affected. Nematicide treatments across two cotton varieties were tested in 2020 in a naturally-infested field in Johnston County, NC. Treatment differences and impacts of this trial will be presented.
