Fusarium Race-4 Screening and Testing Protocols

This presentation will cover the field testing protocols we use in screening germplasm on Fusarium Race-4 (FOV4) infested fields.  I will go over what we have learned in the last 20 years from observing this disease in California and now far west Texas.  How we handle 1st year testing with our Site Specific Mass Screening (SSMS) Protocol.  Also how differentiate levels of disease resistance when dealing with multigenic resistance. In this presentation, I will layout a standardized field testing protocol as well as propose standardized check varieties with varying degrees of FOV4 resistance.
