In 2018, cotton was planted on a Sharkey clay soil at the LSU AgCenter’s Northeast Research Station. Treatments consisted of two fertilizer applications, a blend of urea and potash (23-0-30), applied during the first week of bloom or the second week of bloom. Side dress nitrogen, 80 units of 28-0-0-5, was applied prior to first square. Final plant height and mapping, lint yield, and fiber quality data will be collected.
