Evaluating Cotton Seedling Vigor in the Missouri Bootheel for 2018

Cotton seedling vigor is important information for Missouri producers due to the cotton producing areas northern latitude and narrow planting window. Fifty eight varieties were placed in the official variety test and all 58 were evaluated for differences in seedling vigor. Data collected included NDVI, visual vegetative indices via UAV mounted camera, OJIP fluorescence performance, and seedling emergence. This poster will summarize the data and present the significant differences noted in seedling vigor between the 58 varieties.
