Key growth stages in modern cotton cultivars appear to be reached in fewer days and/or DD60s than in traditional cultivars.  Since many of our management activities are growth-stage based, reevaluating these guidelines could assist those in the industry attempting to predict growth stage. The main objective of this effort was to evaluate differences in days and DD60s between planting and key growth stages in modern cultivars of varying maturities.
