Cotton is an important food and fiber crop across the world. Cottonseed oil for human consumption and protein meal for livestock are critical food sources globally. Therefore understanding seed quality and nutritive values are important for developing cotton varieties which will have optimal seed oil, protein content as well as fiber traits. The objective of this research was to investigate the development of seed oil over time across multiple genotypes. Seeds were harvested at multiple stages post anthesis and lyophysized before running TD NMR analysis to estimate seed oil nutritive values.
