Alternative strategies for managing nitrogen (N) for cotton production under rain-fed and irrigated conditions continue in the Mid-South.  Environmentally Smart Nitrogen (ESN, Agrium, Inc.), a controlled-release, polymer-coated urea product continues to be evaluated for cotton compared to traditional urea (U) and/or urea-ammonium nitrate solution (UAN) in an effort to maintain yields and reduce the potential for N loss from the field.  Replicated field studies continue to be evaluated at the Delta Research and Extension Center near Stoneville, MS and the Tribbett Satellite Farm at Tribbett, MS.  This presentation will present of a summary of research.
