Little is know about the quality of runoff water from the edge of cotton fields in Arkansas. In 2013, we began to monitor the runoff qualty with respect to sediment and nutrients from four cotton fields on a real, working farm that volunteered to be an Arkansas Discovery Farm. In 2013, nitrogen and phosphorus losses in runoff during the gowing season were less than 10% of the total applied as fertilizer. Results from 2013 and 2014 will be presented.
