Introducing Velum Total for Nematode and Early Season Insect Control on Cotton

Velum Total is a new product from Bayer CropScience that will offer cotton growers control of a broad spectrum of nematode and early season insect pests. Velum Total is a soluble concentrate formulation containing the active ingredients fluopyram and imidacloprid. Fluopyram provides wide spectrum nematicide properties and imidacloprid is the industry standard for early season insect control, plant health and vigor. Performance and residual activity against nematodes and thrips in development trials has been equal to or greater than the historic grower standard Temik. Velum Total is suitable for application in-furrow at planting and by chemigation through low pressure drip and trickle irrigation. Registration of Velum Total for use on cotton is expected in early 2015.
