Over the past 10 years, we have evaluated cotton strains and cultivars for resistance to tarnished plant bug (TPB) in small plots at Keiser.  White flowers are examined over multiple sample dates for presence of TPB damage.  An accumulative score of "% dirty flowers" is determined, and lines are then compared to highly susceptible (Frego bract) checks.  This presentaion will cover:   evolution of our field techniques,  summary of number of lines tested and variation in resistance, analyses of data over years (particularly frego relative to other checks), and explanation of 2013 experience.
