In the Texas High Plains, several large scale cotton variety tests were conducted across multiple locations and environments to determine yield and quality of commercially available varieties.  Results from these on-farm variety trials are utilized extensively by cotton producers in selecting varieties for planting the following crop season.  Data provided to producers from these trials include stand establishment, days to cutout (NAWF=5), various plant measurements, lint and seed yield, and fiber quality.  Furthermore, detailed production practices from each location are provided to assist in the decision making process.
