Corn/cotton rotations are becoming more prevalent in the Mid-South with high levels of fertilizer N applied to the corn crop.  Most of the rotational response for cotton following corn has not been related to nitrogen but rather to the overall effect of corn on soil conditions.  This presentation will summarize the response of cotton follwoing corn where various N managemant programs have been evaluated in the corn production.  Various N rates and application systems were used over a four-year period with cotton following in 1:1 roatation.
