FM 2989GLB2: A New FiberMax® Variety with GlyTol® Liberty Link® and Bollgard II® Technology From Bayer CropScience

FM 2989GLB2 is a new variety from Bayer CropScience.  This is the first variety offered in the GlyTol, Liberty Link technology that also includes Bollgard II.  It is a medium maturity variety primarily suited for the Western cotton growing regions of the Belt.  It was developed from the FM 989 background and is similar in its growth and development to that variety.  Fiber characteristics are also similar to FM 989.  Yield and fiber characteristics will be presented with comparisons to commercially available varieties.
