Yield response to cotton aphid infestations is often variable and our research suggests that it’s dependent upon the amount of stress the cotton plant is experiencing.  Essentially the more stress the more potential for yield loss.  The most susceptible period appears to be during boll fill.  Additionally, aphids during boll fill affects earliness and quality.
