Irrigation Scheduling at a Whole Farm Level

The objective of this presentation is to present results of an on-going irrigation study aimed at assessing the potential use of atmometers to schedule irrigation in Central Arkansas. Cotton has been the principal crop, but during the 2010 season, corn and soybeans were irrigated with this approach as well. We will also be sharing some of the obstacles we faced when moving from a single field in a collaborator’s farm to more than 60 fields and 3 farmers.
