Transform™: Field Performance Against Cotton Aphids, Aphis gossypii Glover, In Cotton

Sulfoxaflor (Transform^TM) is the first insecticide from the new sulfoximine chemical class. It was discovered by Dow AgroSciences (DAS) scientists and is proprietary DAS chemistry. Field performance of Transform^TM against cotton aphids (Aphis gossypii Glover) was evaluated from 2006 to 2010. Small replicated trials were conducted in eastern and western United States cotton in Louisiana, Mississippi and California. Excellent efficacy on cotton aphids and other outstanding attributes of Transform^TM will be presented and discussed. Transform^TM has an important fit in IPM programs and will be a valuable rotational partner with other chemistries and as a tool to manage insect populations resistant to other insecticides.
