Producers are faced with many important decisions each year.  One of the most important is variety selection.  In current production practices, technology systems are selected at the same time as varieties.  Therefore producers need to make two difficult decisions; 1. Which technology package is needed and 2. Which variety perfoms the best with the technology package that is desired.  This quiestion has become more and more difficult with the increases in both technology and cultivar numbers currently on the market. Producers need to pay attention to latest data and profitability factors that accompany technology and variety selection.
