Mechanisms of Pyrethroid Insecticide Resistance in Helicoverpa Zea (Boddie) (Lepidoptera: Noctuidae)

Helicoverpa zea is an important pest of cotton, and pyrethroids are often applied for their control.  To date, the molecular mechanisms involved in resistance have yet to be described in this pest.  Here we describe the mechanisms associated with pyrethroid resistance.
