Plant Bug and Stink Bug Management Workshop
The goal of this workshop is to stimulate new ideas for management of plant bugs in cotton. The focus of the workshop will be: (1) sampling techniques - which methods provide the best information for making management decisions?; (2) thresholds - do existing thresholds reduce grower risks by keeping bug populations below economic injury levels?; (3) control options - can cultural and biological methods of control be utilized in a comprehensive IPM program?; (4) insecticide efficacy and resistance - which insecticides currently provide the best level of control, what is the pipeline and what is the status of insecticide resistance?
