Chaperone Yield Components- a Five Year Review

James H. Lackey, LTA Research, P. O. Box 193, Taft, TX 78390

Chaperone™ is a patented and unique blend of nitro-phenols which has demonstrated the ability to increase cotton yield and to enhance worm mortality in transgenic cotton containing the various strains of bacillus thurigenisis now utilized in trangenic cotton. Research has been carried out during the past five years, across the Cotton Belt, at the University level and with independent crop consultants. This presentation presents a review of the data gathered during the study to date. The presentation will cover lint yields obtained from all treated and untreated trials as well as a review of the increase noted in worm mortality resulting from a treatment of Chaperone and a study of the components which contribute to these differences.
