Crop productivity and environmental quality rely on building and maintaining healthy soils. Agricultural management practices play a huge role in determining soil health. Cover cropping and no-tillage are two important management practices that are being promoted to support soil health. These soil health practices respond differently to different cropping systems. It is particularly important to investigate soil health practices in cotton growing systems because cotton, being a low biomass producer, leave limited amount of crop residues on the soil surface.  In this talk, effect of different conservation management practices on soil health and productivity of cotton systems will be discussed.
