This research was conducted to determine the efficacy of pesticides used in cotton when specific droplet sizes were applied. Specific droplet sizes were applied using Pulse Width Modulation to ensure the appropriate droplet size was being applied. Droplet sizes were sprayed in cotton to determine the efficacy of pesticides when applied to thrips, Frankliniella fusca (Hinds). Droplet sizes and spray coverage data were collected using water sensitive paper and a Clemson University spray coverage program. Thrips were sampled at 3, 7, and 14 days after application. Data was observed and analyzed to determine the efficacy of pesticides used in cotton when applied at specific droplet sizes.
