Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. vasinfectum Race 1 interacts with the root-knot nematode to colonize the root and vascular system of the plant, causing Fusarium Wilt on cotton. Field trials were conducted in 2019 and 2020 to screen commercial cotton varieties for resistance. This was monitored through stand loss, root-knot nematode soil density counts, and yield data.
