The use of Plant Growth Regulations (PGRs) in cotton production is a widely used practice due to the many agronomic benefits it serves. Mepiquat chloride is the most commonly used PGR. In recent years many growers have reached the maximum labeled rate per acre per season and still needed additional PGRs to slow vegetative growth. One product which has gained considerable traction is Stance (Cyclanilide). Therefore, information on the response of aggressive, modern cultivars mid‐bloom to aggressive rates of MC with and without the addition of Cyclanilide is needed to advise growers of best management practices. The primary objective of this study was to assess an aggressive‐growing cotton cultivar (DP 1646 B2XF) under rainfed and irrigated conditions when the combination of MC and Stance was applied in 4 replications.
