When growers make their first postemergence herbicide application, many find that certain spots of their field need to be replanted. Often, with this first application, there is a residual herbicide which could be dimethenamid-P, S-metolachlor, acetochlor, or others. So to evaluate the response of cotton to these herbicides in a replant situation studies were conducted with these herbicides applied prior to planting and cotton was planted following strip tillage or no-till. Additionally, response of cotton to preemergence applications of these herbicides was evaluated.
