The main objective of this research is to evaluate the interactive effects of nitrogen (N) and calcium (Ca) fertilizer sources and rates applied using fertigation on nitrogen use efficiency (NUE) and cotton productivity. Evaluated at Lubbock, TX, in 2019 and 2020, treatments consisted of F6-0-6 3.1 Ca 4 S, calcium ammonium nitrate (CAN17; 17-0-0 8.8 Ca) and urea ammonium nitrate (UAN32; 32-0-0) applied through subsurface drip at different rates (0, 45, 90, 180 lbs N ac-1). Differences in leaf tissue nutrient concentrations, NUE, lint yield, and fiber quality will be determined.
