Cottonseed costs have increased considerably as technology packages become more complex. In recent years, poor seed quality has affected many growers throughout the cotton belt. Plant populations are important to obtain a well-established cotton stand, however, increasing costs creates incentive for growers to reduce planting densities where possible. The objective of this study is to evaluate final plant population and seed size effects on cotton growth, development, and yield. In addition, how planting date further influences these factors.
