Herbicide resistant weeds have reduced the options available to cotton producers. As a result, new lines of herbicide-resistant cotton have been developed, most recently the development of isoxaflutole-resistant cotton. In order to understand how to best leverage isoxaflutole in cotton production systems, studies were conducted in 2019 and 2020 investigating the utility of isoxaflutole as it relates to the control of troublesome weeds such as Palmer amaranth, morningglory, and various grass species.
