The NC On-Farm Cotton Variety Evaluation Program utilizes both a pull-type trailer scale system and a system involving multiple automobile scales.  Recently, new round-module harvesters are equipped with on-board scales that utilize hydraulic ram pressure to measure weights of round modules.  The objective of this research was to compare the three scale systems in terms of precision for measuring cotton yields in on-farm variety trials.
