The Western tarnished plant bug, Lygus hesperus, is one of the key arthropod pests in California cotton. Lygus threaten yields and management of lygus early in the season can have downstream effects on later pest management. We present results from a replicated field trial examining insecticides available for lygus management. We also examine susceptibility in lygus populations to key insecticides used in their management at multiple locations in California.
