Sefina® insecticide is novel mode of action tool for the control of piercing-sucking insects in cotton.  It provides targeted control of aphids and whiteflies with a favorable environmental profile for pollinators and beneficial insects.  Federal registration for Sefina occurred in September 2018.  Trials completed in 2018 and 2019 by Texas AgriLife cooperators have shown that Sefina does reduce populations of adult and nymph cotton fleahoppers comparable to regional standards.
