This oral presentation will update current research on nitrogen and zinc rates in cotton following corn.  A range of nitrogen rates and zinc rates were established for both cotton and corn with the two crops rotated annually.  The N rates and Zn rates arranged in a randomized complete block design with five replications. Cotton N rates were 30, 60, 90, and 120 lb N/acre and zinc rates of 0, 5, 10, and 15 lb Zn/acre.  For 2018, nitrogen was applied as ESN and the Zn applied as zinc sulfate.  With respect to corn, N rates were 160, 200, 240, and 280 lb N/acre with 120 lb N/acre applied just after planting and the remainder applied as a sidedress application at the 5-6 leaf stage.  Zinc sulfate was dissolved in water and band-applied with the same applicator as the nitrogen. Yield results from the continuation of the studies will be discussed.
