Ten new cotton varieties were planted in small plots in Midville, Ga. The experiment was planted in a split-block design with three replications where each variety received treatments of 0,1,2, and 3 applications of mepiquat chloride. Mepiquat treatment timings consisted of: 0 - No mepiquat all year; 1 - 16 oz/ac application at first bloom; 2 -  16 oz/ac application at first bloom + 16 oz/ac application 14 days later; 3 - 8 oz/ac 1 week after first square + 16 oz/ac at first bloom + 16 oz/ac 14 days later.

Varieties were evaluated for height, number of nodes, and yield and will be classified into groups based on PGR management needs and their response to PGRs.
