Experiments were conducted in 2015, 2016, and 2017 at the R. R. Foil Plant Science Research Station in Starkville, MS and the Blackbelt Branch Experiment Station in Brooksville, MS. Experimental design was a randomized complete block design. Treatments applied to Deltapine 1522 B2XF included glyphosate, glufosinate, and S-metolachlor applied alone or in combination. Clarity, Engenia, and Xtendimax were also used in testing with the herbicides being applied alone or in combination with the afore mentioned herbicides. Data collected included crop injury 3, 7, 14, 21, and 28 days after application. Additionally, plant height, total nodes, and nawf measurements were taken at first bloom. Data collected at the end of the year included final height, total nodes, and nacb at defoliation. Lint yield was collected at the end of the year.
