Development of a PCR-Based Genome-Wide Interspecific SNP Library to Advance Introgressed Lines

Here we describe the results of a project to develop SNP markers for PCR detection (KASP) of introgressed chromosomes and chromosome segments. Sequences were selected that differentiate between the alien tetraploid lines used in our breeding program (Mustelinum, Tomentosum, Barbadense) and Hirsutum. SNP were tested against the four parents, corresponding F1s, and developed introgressed lines.
