The objective of this study was to assess the destination of applied nitrogen in cotton production on the southern high plains of Texas. This study was conducted at the Texas A&M AgriLife Research station in Lubbock, Texas. The results of this study will show the relative proportions of the applied nitrogen in terms of their final destination (soil, plant, atmosphere). The discussion will cover the significance of these destinations in terms of plant production and overall nitrogen use efficiency of this ecosystem.
