Cotton has traditionally been bred for high yields and fiber quality traits in the US. Recent interest has focused on utilizing cottonseed oil and protein meal for human and animal consumption thereby making these traits very important for research and development. The objective of this research was to understand combining abilities for parental material to optimize seed oil and protein content along with fiber quality in G. hirsutum. A diallel analysis was conducted using six parents and twenty one F1 hybrids in two environments in the 2015 growing season.
