Several years of whole-plant cage study data were compared with multi-plant cage study in estimating treatment thresholds for Lygus in Texas cotton. Five Lygus densities were released at 200, 300 and 500 heat units and compared damage caused by Lygus. Multi-plant cages performed better than single-plant cages. Higher Lygus densities caused significant damage compared to control plants.
