Update on High-Performance Ginnning and Lint Cleaning from Lummus

Last year at the 2015 Beltwide Cotton Conference, we introduced the new high-performance ginning and lint cleaning line from Lummus Corporation.  This year we want to report on the ups and downs experienced with this new equipment after having run for an entire season in Australia and in the U.S.  The specific machine models presented here are the 120” wide Model 700™ III Extractor Feeder, the 222-Saw Gin Stand, the 120” wide Super-Jet^®, and the 144” wide Sentinel™ II Lint Cleaner.  Most of the new features incorporated into the 144 Sentinel™ II Lint Cleaner will be now be available in the 108 Sentinel™ II Lint Cleaner, and some of these features will also be available in the form of retrofit kits for customers with existing 108 Sentinel™ II Lint Cleaners.  In addition to the items mentioned above, we would like to briefly mention some of the other new development work at Lummus.
