Relationship Between NDVI at Early Bloom and Yield in Germplasm Evaluation Trials

Cotton breeders need selection tools to increase the efficiency of identifying promising germplasm in the field. The relationship between NDVI at early bloom and yield was determined in several germplasm evaluation trials in 2014 and 2015. Check plots were included to evaluate the value of their use as a way to deal with soil spatial variability.
